5 STAR REVEIWS!

Meet Michael and Ronnie

Welcome

A message from the Hosts of the Cottage at 45 Main...

Our cottage is quaintly situated in Historic Stony Brook Village, across from the T. Bayles Minuse Mill Pond Park and Duck Pond.  The location is only steps away from the Avalon Park Nature Preserve, the Long Island Museum, the Reboli Center, and the Jazz Loft.

Our charming village offers numerous places to explore, and on its outskirts are West Meadow Beach, Harmony Vineyards, and many other beautiful getaways perfect for day trips with family or friends.

After buying our home in 2018, we decided that the cottage, formerly a pediatrician’s office, should be transformed into an inviting inn for visitors to rest their weary heads, a location that is the perfect base from which to explore a West Meadow Creek Wetlands Cruise, local parks and shops, or nearby Sand Street Beach.  Our village’s restaurants include Mirabelle at the Three Village Inn, Pentimento, and the Country House for romantic evenings, as well as Sweet Mama’s, Crazy Beans and Brew Cheese for brunches full of hustle and bustle.

We look forward to making our guests as comfortable as we can, offering an array of muffins, bagels, coffee, tea, juice, as well as other surprise goodies to fuel your day. Your happiness is important to us.  Stony Brook Village awaits.

We hope to see you soon!

“Thank you for a wonderful stay! Everything was perfect. It is such a lovely cottage in a beautiful location. We enjoyed every second of our stay. The attention to detail was noticed and thank you for the Valentines gift. That was so kind. We will stay again!"

"Great location, gorgeous property inside and out, and very thoughtful hosts! My boyfriend and I had a wonderful visit and hope to return to Stony Brook - and this adorable cottage again!"

— Maggie, Washington D.C.

"A great place to stay for a quick getaway weekend - clean, has everything you need and close to great shops and food!"

— Ryan, New York City

"The Stony Brook Cottage is a wonderful place. My daughter and I felt comfortable and safe. I had to work during some of my stay and the desk/workspace and wifi were very convenient! The cottage is country/modern, clean and very stylish and it is located within walking distance of the duck pond and the village. We got up each morning to get coffee at Crazy Beans and watched the sunset a few nights. Mike & Ronnie are wonderful hosts. We live across the country but hope to make it back one day."

— Marivi, San Diego, California

"Ronnie and Mike's cottage is absolutely gorgeous and cozy! Each room is beautifully decorated with timeless vintage furniture pieces mixed in with thoughtful touches such as a mini vanity and fresh flowers on the dining room table. The polka dot bathroom was my favorite room! They even left us a bottle of wine which we enjoyed at dinner our first night. The cottage is also much larger than we expected, and it was so relaxing and comfortable, we felt like we were staying in a hotel suite. Even though the cottage is located close to the main house, it still felt very private and secluded. Stony Brook Village was only a few minutes drive away, with many shops and cafes. We highly recommend their beautiful place and hope to return! Thank you for a great stay!"

— Brittany, New York City

Mike & Ronnie’s cottage is wonderful - they have taken a thoughtful approach to being hosts. It is so clean and nicely decorated with comfortable furniture and fresh clean towels! Their garden is exquisite - the whole setting was bucolic. The cottage is walkable to a lovely duck pond  as well as a little shopping area (with restaurants) nearby. We were in the area for a wedding and were so glad we found this cottage!  I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for an escape to a relaxing and beautiful place!
